Friday the 13th

How my nice, relaxing Friday the 13th became a scheduling nightmare:

First, agree to allow Brownie Scout attend the Girl Scout Troop field trip to Build-A-Bear, despite the fact that the child already owns 2 Build-A-Bear critters and it requires driving her to Waterford as soon as she gets off the bus at 4PM. (Wow! that is one really long sentence!)

Next, realize that Friday is the day of the Multi-age picnic at school. Since the best teacher, ever, is retiring, I really want to go. This teacher has had every single Smith Sister in her classroom at one time or another. I swear she is retiring because she had the last Smith kid this past year and decided to leave while she still had her sanity! Can you imagine putting up with their crazy mother for a solid 8 years?!?! The women is a saint!

Now add to the Multi-age picnic, keeping an eye on Nathalie, who will be keeping an eye on Will Rodgers. And, I have to remember to pick up Diana Rodgers from her kindergarten class at 11:15 and walk her down the halls to the picnic.

Then add that Rachel P. is going to dropped, via the school bus, at my house. Her mom has to work a few extra hours since it is nearly the last day of school. Rachel P. will be going with us to drop off Samantha at Build-A-Bear, because all of the girls have to go with me since...

Abby and Nathalie are babysitting for my sister in Glastonbury. They are being picked up at 4:30 and won't be home until after 10PM. Sam is also leaving for work at Tractor Supply at 3PM and he won't be home until after 10PM.

Somehow, I see PB & J sandwiches in the car for dinner tonight...

At least tomorrow is easy: Forts Trumbull http://www.fortfriends.org/FORT_TRUMBULL/history.htm and Griswold http://www.revwar.com/ftgriswold/ in the AM, Prudence Crandall http://www.cultureandtourism.org/cct/cwp/view.asp?a=2127&q=302260 at noon and Kitt Brook Studios http://data.fineartstudioonline.com/dataviewer.asp?keyvalue=4379 in the PM...
