Hatching Turkeys

Awoke this morning to the sound of peeping coming from the incubator. Three eggs have pips in them, with one of them having a hole in the shell. All the computer sites I have checked have stated that getting them to actually hatch out and live is tricky. So we'll have to see what happens. It is taking all of my restraint to not help them out!

UPDATE: 2 turkeys are hatched. We had to help one because its shell was drying out too quickly. The second one did it all on its own!

Very Cool Amy! Do you take care of them like the chickens?

Yes, just like chickens. They are doing great! At just a few days old they seem sturdier and more hardy than some of the chickens we have raised.
