The cold has settled back after one day of a teasingly warm 40 degrees! I keep hearing rumors of more snow, but since I keep forgetting to check the weather on the computer, I have no idea if the rumors are even true. Spring must be coming soon? Groundhog's Day is a mere week away!
Our firewood supply had been dwindling since Sam hurt his back and I had split what I could. Thankfully we have been blessed with borrowing a friend's log splitter. With the girls dragging the chunks from the woods on sleds, we have refilled the woodshed with enough wood to last a few more weeks.
Tonight's dinner is Chicken with dumplings and then Sam and I are off on a romantic date: we're going food shopping at Wal-mart in Lisbon. I tell 'ya, we sure know how to have a good time! We might splurge and split a vanilla chai from Dunkin Donuts!
Sam has his appointment with the specialist for his back on Thursday. Hopefully then he will get the okay to go back to work. In some ways it will be nice to get back to a normal schedule. Whatever that is?
