4-H Fair
We had a our monthly 4-H fair meeting last month. The kids had to review and revise the by-laws of the organization to make sure they were in compliance with the new Memorandum of Understanding which was made between the Unviersity of Connecticut and the 4-H Fair Association. These poor kids. While I understand that it is important for them to understand how government works, all this legal gobbldy-gook went right over their 14 and 16 year old minds. The 7-12 year olds definitly weren't participating either. So basically the adults hashed it out and the kids said,"Whatever they say," and passed the changes. Our future lawmakers and voters....

It seems sad to me that that responsibility was handed down to the kids without addiquit guidance for making an informed decision.
