At our fair we invite Local "celebrities" to come and learn about 4-H and show a goat at the fair. This year we had the youth director from the Subase Youth Center: Cathy Terrall, Senior Chief David Lawrence from the Navy Subase, Vet student Cara Kneser who is due to graduate May 23, 2010 at 3PM, Physician Assistant Arthur Welch from the neurology department at L & M Hospital, and Seritta Norige: Miss Mountain Laurel Outstanding Teen.
The celebrities were given a tour of the fairgrounds by 4-H youth and then 4-H'ers from the goat barn taught them how to show a goat. A judge put them through their paces in the show ring and determined that all received first place ribbons except Cara Kneser, who was heckling the judge.
